Bendigo Bank funds 2017 Planting Season
The Byford and Districts Community Bank has granted $7,500 to Landcare SJ for this year’s planting season – revegetation in 7 natural areas with 9 community groups and schools. Part of this will be the Bendigo Bank National Tree Day event on Sunday 30 July.
Drying Out Wet Soils – Using Plants as an Alternative to Fill
Due to the wetland nature of the Swan Coastal Plain, many areas within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale experience seasonal water inundation or waterlogged soils. Planting local native trees and shrubs can help to soak up unwanted water.
