Sustainable Agriculture

Horses in a paddock

Sustainable Agriculture has been promoted in the Peel Harvey Region for many years by the Serpentine Jarrahdale and Dandalup-Murray Land Conservation District Committees (LCDC) through Landcare SJ.

Both committees include members who have farmed over many seasons, and who have been involved in LCDC projects which trial and implement improved agricultural practices.

LCDC members are committed to providing support to other landholders ( including hobby farmers).  They do this by assisting with technical advice and accessing grant funding for on-ground environmental projects on private landholdings in the district
