The Equine Landcare Project started in 2014 with a successful grant through the National Landcare Programme to host sustainable equine landcare events in the Peel region.

Now funded through the State Natural Resource Management Community Action Grant Program, with support from the Peel Harvey Catchment Council, the project has been running for over two years.

The current round of grant funding has supported a series of field days focussing on on-ground education on sustainable management practises for horse properties. Topics range from soil amending to pasture rotation systems. Read the event summaries below.

If you would like more information on the Equine Landcare Project email teele@landcaresj.com.au, check out the SJ Equine Landcare Group Facebook Profile or sign up to the Landcare SJ monthly newsletter to keep up to date with events and news.
